Puppetry troupe based in Bar Harbor, Maine<\/strong><\/p>\n

Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers<\/strong> is a puppetry troupe based in Bar Harbor, Maine, comprising three siblings: brothers Erik and Brian Torbeck and sister Robin (Torbeck) Erlandsen. They will perform a swashbuckling puppet adventure! This is a fun family performance that is sure to keep you entertained.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2000, Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers performs at festivals, schools, libraries, and theatres in the United States and Canada. They write and create all the shows they perform and have received three Citations of Excellence from UNIMA-USA, the highest national award in puppetry.<\/p>\n

We are grateful to include a custom program from the Maine Mineral and Gem Museum this year, and eager to learn more about Maine minerals with an ocean focus, a female 19th-century geologist who worked in Acadia National Park, and see a meteorite from the moon!<\/p>\n

The Maine Mineral & Gem Museum celebrates Earth and cultivates critical thinking through research, education, and dynamic exhibits \u2013 all designed to inspire curiosity about Maine\u2019s geologic history and our planet\u2019s place in the solar system.<\/p>\n

The Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine offers experiential learning opportunities that strive to inspire imagination and, prioritizes discovery through exploration and play. Their program, A Whale’s Tail, is included in our schedule!<\/p>\n

“Meet a life-sized whale named Piano, named after a humpback whale in the Atlantic Ocean. Take on the role of scientists as we observe whale anatomy, act out a dramatic food web, listen to whale songs, and explore whale artifacts. Together, we will explore Piano\u2019s story and how she and other whales move through the world. The more we learn about how we are connected to the ocean, the more we can protect it.”<\/p>\n
