Thank you for all the organizations who participated and for everyone who made this year’s Maine Ocean Festival possible including:

Frenchman’s Bay Conservancy, The Abbe Museum, ArtWaves, The Dorr Museum, Allied Whale, Woodlawn Museum, Camp Beech Cliff, Schoodic Institute, Downeast Salmon Federation, Downeast Institute, Bar Harbor Oyster Co., Oceana, and Center for Cooperative Aquaculture Research

On Saturday, Piano the life-sized inflatable humpback whale joined us on the marsh! Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers performed a thrilling tale about pirates, and crafts like sand art, lobster and jellyfish crafts, face painting, and toss games were available.

On Friday, local nonprofits brought activities that showcased unique aspects of, and were available for discussions about, their organizations. Downeast Salmon Federation, Downeast Institute, Bar Harbor Oyster Co., and Center for Cooperative Aquaculture Research presented on Friday as well.

Lastly, on Sunday, Little Death joined us on the lawn and through the wooded path! Handmade pieces filled booths, music from the trad session in the events tent filled the air, coffee from Precipice Coffee filled our stomachs, and the community who participated in the paint-by-number filled the day with fun.

Thank you to Meg for acquiring all of the auction items and thank you to those who participated in the auction!

Special thanks to Rachael Zoe Miller for opening up the American Promise for the public to tour on Saturday evening and for her presentation on Sunday afternoon.
