We are happy to introduce Birders’ Cafe, a chance for local and visiting bird watchers to walk the tidal salt marsh, take in the splendor of the morning, and observe the wide variety of birds that nest, fish, and migrate through the Oceanarium and Education Center campus. The trails are always open, so after walking the grounds we hope attendees will stay and enjoy a social hour in the courtyard. Every other Friday morning from 8:00 am to 9:00 am, starting September 12th, our museum shop will be open with a variety of baked offerings from local cafes, restaurants, and caterers as well as coffee.

October 10 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am

Birdwatching is so much more than a hobby; it contributes to citizen science efforts, local conservation, and ecological education.

It is closely related to our mission at the Oceanarium, but close to our hearts as our original museum curator, Scott Swann, was a dedicated ornithologist and bird lover among his many other talents. The tidal salt marsh here at the Oceanarium is a hot spot for bird activity!
