SESSION 1 – WELCOME TO THE OCEANARIUM

Join us at the Oceanarium for an introductory session! During this first session, students will receive a comprehensive overview of our facility, meet some of the incredible animals on display, and learn about the unique salt marsh ecosystem surrounding the Oceanarium. Whether you have visited 100 times or this is your very first visit, this session brings together students, families, and educators to explore the importance of engaging with local environments. Consider this a get-to-know-you session!

SESSION 2 – CYCLES OF ENERGY AND MATTER

In this session, students will explore how energy and matter move through ecosystems by examining food chains and food webs. They will create example food webs for both land and ocean ecosystems and discuss the role of models in science, as well as their limitations. Using these models, students will hypothesize how changes in animal populations could impact nearby ecosystems. Whether you are a frequent visitor or this is your first time, this session aims to connect students, families, and educators in understanding the importance of engaging with local environments.

SESSION 3 – GEOLOGICAL HISTORY
