Your Support Matters to The Oceanarium
Your support buoys us. With you by our side, we are able to sustain operations from caring for our resident animals to stewarding the next generation through learning programs and taking action for animals and our blue planet.
Donations to the Oceanarium help us further our mission to provide educational exhibits and programs for all ages on local ecology, marine biology and research, citizen science, dark skies, fisheries and aquaculture, and STEM education in partnership with Maine schools.

Become a Member
- Individual Membership: $50.00 per year
- Family Membership (up to five people): $125.00 per year
Both Family and Individual memberships can be expanded; more people may be listed for an additional $25.00 per name.

Memberships are valid from January 1 to December 31 of the membership year, with free admission during our regular opening hours.
We are working to develop reciprocity agreements with partner aquariums and museums. We hope to finalize these partnerships for the 2024 season.
OCEANARIUM CONTRIBUTORS, FRIENDS, AND AMBASSADORS
If you have the means to make a larger contribution, please consider becoming an Oceanarium Contributor, Friend or Ambassador today. Membership at these levels is also for up to five people, and greatly increases our ability to fulfill our mission.
Contributor – $300.00
Contributors receive Family membership benefits with two guest passes, plus 10% discount on renting Oceanarium facilities for private functions and recognition in the Oceanarium’s annual report.
Oceanarium Friend – $500.00
Friends receive Contributor benefits with two additional guest passes (four total), plus invitations to group behind-the-scenes experiences.
Oceanarium Ambassador – $1,000.00
Ambassadors receive Friend benefits with four additional guest passes (eight total), plus an “Evening with the Animals”: a private event with beer/wine and hors d’oeuvres to celebrate your commitment to the Oceanarium and its mission.
