The Maine Ocean Festival is truly a community event. With the help of the Oceanarium’s Board of Directors and staff as well as our team of amazing volunteers, it is an all-hands-on-deck effort to make everything run smoothly.
We are so grateful to the volunteers who give their time and energy to make the Maine Ocean Festival an amazing community event.
All proceeds raised from the festival help the Oceanarium further its mission to provide educational exhibits and programs for all ages on local ecology, marine biology and research, citizen science, dark skies, fisheries and aquaculture, and STEM education in partnership with Maine schools.
This is where you come in: we are looking for volunteers to sign up and help us make the First Annual Maine Ocean Festival an amazing success.
WE HAVE A JOB FOR EVERYONE
Whether it’s helping to set up or take down tents and tables, running the dunk tank, manning the arts and crafts and games tables, or helping out in the Oceanarium, we need your help. In return, volunteers receive one of our Volunteer Festival T-shirts with design from local artist Carol Shutt and our eternal thanks for your hard work. Volunteers also receive 50% off any food items in our Museum Shop.
